Noun Definition in English – That word which denotes the name of a person, place or thing is called the Noun.
Noun Definition in Hindi – वह शब्द जो किसी व्यक्ति, स्थान या वस्तु के नाम का बोध कराता हैं, उसे Noun कहते हैं।
Noun Examples –
Roshan Deep (रोशन दीप), Book (किताब), Pen (कलम), Table (टेबल), Cow (गाय), Elephant (हाथी), Man (आदमी), Class (वर्ग), Team (टीम), Oil (तेल), Milk (दूध), Honesty (ईमानदारी), Childhood (बचपना) e.t.c.
Types of Noun in Hindi / Kinds of Noun in Hindi –
पुराने Grammar (Traditional Grammar) के अनुसार Noun के पांच प्रकार या भेद होते हैं जो की निम्नलिखित हैं –

2 . Common Noun (जातिवाचक संज्ञा)
3 . Collective Noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा)

1 . Proper Noun (व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा) –
Proper Noun Definition in Hindi – वह Noun जिससे किसी खास व्यक्ति, स्थान या वस्तु के नाम का बोध होता हैं, उसे Proper Noun कहते हैं।
Examples –
Ram, Shyam, Sita, Gita, Patna, Ramayana, Sunday, Monday, January, February, Holi, Eid e.t.c.
Important Note – सभी Proper Noun का 1st Latter, Capital Letter में होता हैं।

Ram – Right (सही)

2 . Common Noun (जातिवाचक संज्ञा) –
Common Noun Definition in Hindi – वह Noun जिससे जाति भर का होता हैं, उसे Common Noun कहते हैं।
Examples –
cow, book, pen, boy, girl, bird, snake, table, town, country, cat, dog, river e.t.c.
Important Note – किसी भी Common Noun का गिनती किया जा सकता है और इसका Plural भी बनाया जा सकता हैं।

3 . Collective Noun (समूहवाचक संज्ञा) –
Collective Noun Definition in Hindi – वह Noun जो व्यक्तियों, वस्तुओं या जानवरों के समूह का बोध कराता हैं, उसे Collective Noun कहते हैं।

class (वर्ग), crowd (भीड़), team (दल), family (परिवार), bunch (गुच्छा), commitee (समिति) e.t.c.
4 . Material Noun (द्रव्यवाचक संज्ञा) –
Material Noun Definition in Hindi – वह Noun जिसे मापा या तौला जा सकता हैं, किन्तु गिनती नहीं किया जा सके, उसे Material Noun कहते हैं।
Examples –
water, milk, wood, gold, iron, stone, rice, ink, sugar, oil, flour, pulse, wool, silver, wheat e.t.c.
5 . Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा) –
Abstract Noun Definition in Hindi – वह Noun जिससे अवस्था, गुण या कार्य का बोध होता हैं, उसे Abstract Noun कहते हैं।
Examples –
goodness, kindness, greatness, richness, honesty, wisdom, beauty, truth, laughter, love, death, childhood e.t.c.
Important Note – Abstract Noun (भाववाचक संज्ञा) को ना तो छू सकते हैं और ना ही देख सकते हैं बल्कि केवल अनुभव कर सकते हैं।
